GuestVoyages uses a deliberately minimal cookie footprint. The platform is designed around private hospitality — there are no advertising trackers, no third-party profiling and no behavioural-targeting pixels.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the platform to remember information about your visit, keep you signed in, and store your preferences between sessions. Some cookies are essential for the platform to function; others are optional and only set with your consent.

How we use them

GuestVoyages uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies for four narrow purposes:

  • To keep you securely signed in to your charter portal between page loads.
  • To remember your cookie preferences once you've decided.
  • If you opt in: to recall lightweight UI preferences (e.g. the last charter you viewed) so the platform feels familiar.
  • If you opt in: to count anonymous, aggregated visits so we can improve the platform.

Cookie categories

Essential
Always on

Required for the platform to function. Stores your session token, your cookie-consent choice, and security tokens that prevent cross-site request forgery. Cannot be disabled because the portal cannot operate without them.

gv_token — your signed session token (browser local storage, cleared on sign-out).
gv_cookie_consent_v1 — records your cookie-banner decision so we don't ask again.
Functional

Remembers convenience preferences such as the last-viewed charter, your preferred sort order in lists, and whether you've already dismissed informational banners. Improves the feel of the platform; the platform works fine without them.

gv_last_charter — last charter you opened.
gv_dismissed_notes — informational notes you've already seen.
Analytics

Anonymous, aggregated usage measurement. Helps us understand which flows are working and which are not. We do not use this category to build advertising profiles, and analytics data cannot be tied back to your name, your charter or your guest details.

GuestVoyages does not currently load any third-party analytics. This category is reserved for a future privacy-first analytics provider (such as a self-hosted Plausible instance) and only fires after you accept.
Marketing

Not used by GuestVoyages today. We reserve this category in case your operator chooses to enable targeted communications in future — and even then, only with your fresh consent. We will never sell your data to advertisers.

No marketing cookies are loaded by the platform.

Third-party cookies

GuestVoyages does not currently load any third-party cookies, advertising pixels, social-network embeds or behavioural-tracking scripts. If we ever add such a service, the cookie banner will surface the change and ask for your fresh consent before any third-party script runs.

Changing your mind

You can clear your stored consent at any time by clearing browser data for this site, and you'll see the banner again on your next visit. Alternatively, set your browser to block all cookies — the platform may then ask you to sign in more frequently, but it will not break.
